Chapter 2

by Praise Malinga

The human mind is a complex and mysterious entity, capable of producing a wide range of thoughts, emotions, and experiences. One of the ways in which the mind processes information is through dreams. But what exactly are dreams from the mind, and what purpose do they serve?

Dreams from the mind are a natural and normal part of the human experience. They can be influenced by our thoughts, emotions, and experiences, and can serve as a reflection of our inner selves.

As it is written in Ecclesiastes 5:3: "For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words."

This verse suggests that dreams can arise from our own thoughts and emotions, particularly when we're preoccupied with worldly concerns.

So, what are some purposes of dreams from the mind?

1. For a reminder: If someone decides in their mind to do something, their mind may replay it as a reminder. This can be a helpful way for the mind to process and recall important information. For example, if you've been worrying about a upcoming deadline, your mind may replay the stress and anxiety of not meeting the deadline, reminding you to stay focused and work towards completing the task.

2. As a storage: The conscious state of the mind can carry only a certain amount of information, and then it passes to auto-control state of mind known as unconscious mind. Dreams can be a way for the mind to process and store information, allowing us to recall memories and experiences that we may have forgotten.

In addition to these purposes, dreams from the mind can also be influenced by our emotions, experiences, and memories. They can be a reflection of our inner selves, revealing our fears, desires, and motivations.

It's worth noting that dreams from the mind are not necessarily a reflection of reality. They can be mixed up, symbolic, or even make no sense. However, by examining our dreams and reflecting on our thoughts and emotions, we can gain insight into our inner selves and better understand our motivations and desires.

In conclusion, dreams from the mind are a natural and normal part of the human experience. They can serve as a reminder, a storage mechanism, and a way for the mind to process and reflect on our experiences. By understanding the purposes of dreams from the mind, we can gain insight into our thoughts, emotions, and desires, and learn to navigate the complexities of our own minds.
