Minimum Requirements:
- N4 Electrical
- Qualified Trade Tested Electrician
- Wiremen’s Licence (3 phase tester)
- Valid driver’s licence
- 1 year experience in similar environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure that City Energy revenue is protected, installed meters are operating and protected as designed
- Manage small revenue-based capital budget allocations of the specific area of responsibility
- Execute Governance and Risk Management, Council policies and municipal by-laws to ensure effective revenue protection and legal compliance
- Investigate and verify the integrity of the meter installation where there’s complaints pertaining to accounts and electrical information
- Conduct routine inspections to identify possible electricity meter problems and rectify them
- Investigate 90-day non-purchase or low purchase on prepayment meter’s process and credit direct or CT-CT/VT driven meter with no consumption and low consumption to verify tampering and bypassing
- Apply specialist knowledge in the field of electricity 3 phase and single-phase metering to ensure that CoE’s metering maintains a high standard of accuracy
- Ensure that health and safety is complied with as per OHS Act regulations
- Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risks
- Comply with legislation and organisational policy to effectively contribute towards meeting organisational objectives
- Ensure compliance with the Batho Pele principles, maintain good customer relations and efficient and productive service delivery
- Provide effective and efficient management to maintain a high level of productivity
