Warehouse Manager - Engineering Spares - 1705

Job Purpose:

  • To manage & control the supply of engineering spare parts and manage working capital to acceptable levels, within AECI Mining Explosives

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or Technical qualification in Supply Chain/Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an Inventory Management environment of which includes operating at a supervisory level
  • Technical experience will be an advantage
  • SAP knowledge and MRP experience
  • Excellent understanding of the Safety & Health process
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time management
  • People Management
  • Ability to write reports

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accurate management of inventory and effective storekeeping
  • Ensure availability of spare parts to Manufacturing plants, Engineering, front end business units
  • Oversee all Spares operations for the entire AECI Mining operations to ensure uniform and world-class standards are in place
  • Engineering spares purchase management
  • Ensure SAP inventory data reconciles with the physical stock on a daily basis for all sites
  • Responsible for managing working capital to acceptable levels, balancing supply and demand requirements
  • Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices
  • Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
  • People management, supervision, leadership and development of Warehouse staff
  • Implement & drive continual business improvement and change management
