Great Church Division
by Praise Malinga
In the midst of a world torn apart by division, the body of Christ is not immune to the fractures that threaten to destroy unity and undermine the gospel message. Among those who profess to be Christians, there exist stark contrasts that cry out for examination and repentance. Righteousness Unto Holiness dares to confront the uncomfortable truths that have led to division amongst believers, exposing the dangers of self-righteousness, spiritual apathy, and the dire need for genuine transformation.
There are those who, like Nicodemus, approach the faith with a works-based mindset, striving to earn salvation through obedience to the law. This esteemed Pharisee came to Jesus by night, seeking answers, but Jesus cut to the heart of the matter: "Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3, NKJV). As recorded in John 3:2, Nicodemus came to Jesus and said, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." (NKJV). His intentions were good, but his understanding was flawed. He was seeking to understand what to do, but Jesus revealed that it was not about what to do, but who to become.
Then there are those who claim to be saved, yet their lives are barren, producing none of the fruit of the Spirit. Their righteousness has become like "filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6, NKJV), a self-deception that threatens to undermine the very foundations of their faith.
But there is a third group, a remnant who have been born again and are bearing fruit. They are the embodiment of true righteousness, demonstrating the transforming power of the gospel in their lives.
This book will explore these three categories, seeking to expose the deceptions that divide, and calling believers to a higher standard: righteousness unto holiness. It is a call to examine our hearts, to surrender our lives to the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, and to embody the love and righteousness of Christ in a world desperately searching for truth.
Backup Scriptures:
- "The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." (John 3:2, KJV)
- "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." (Isaiah 64:6, KJV)
Righteousness Unto Holiness
Romans 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
