Chapter 1
by Praise Malinga
In the beginning, we must understand the state of humanity before God. The Bible teaches us that those who are not born again are naked before God.
In Revelation it is written:
Garments
This passage clearly shows us that those who are not born again are spiritually naked, lacking the covering of God's righteousness. But, the good news is that God provides a way for us to be clothed in righteousness.
In Job it is written:
"I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem." (Job 29:14, KJV)
God's offer
Those who are not born again are naked before God, but God offers us a robe of righteousness, a covering of His salvation.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3, KJV) This means that without being born again, we cannot see God or enter His kingdom.
Salvation Prayer
Do you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead on the third day? If you believe, then it's time to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of your life.
Say it out loud: "Jesus Christ, I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I confess You as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life, I receive the remission of sins, and make me a new creation. Holy Spirit baptise me and come inside of me to teach me in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen."
If you just confessed that prayer, congratulations! You have taken the first step in your journey with God. You are now a child of God, clothed in the righteousness of Christ. Welcome to the family!
Righteousness Unto Holiness
Romans 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
