Job Purpose:

Enroll in a learnership programme covering technical positions relevant to Ivanplats Mine. The programme develops skills for the “mine of the future” using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods and latest technology.

Disciplines Covered:

Auto Electrician
Boilermaker
Diesel Mechanic
Fitter & Turner
Instrumentation
Mechanical Fitter
Millwrights
Rigger

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 certificate with Maths and Physical Science passed on a minimum grade of 60%
N2 qualification in engineering study
South African Citizens and Permanent RSA residents only
Must pass the relevant medical fitness examination
Willing to go through relevant capability assessment tool
Prepared to work underground and on surface, in all mining operations for mining related qualifications

Programme Conditions:

Successful candidates will be enrolled for a maximum period of 3 years or upon receiving of Trade qualifications, whichever comes first
Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South Africans from local communities surrounding Ivanplats Platreef mine and Women
